Duties to eventually involve (but will not be limited to):
• negotiation and execution of stock loans, equity swaps and forwards • daily client contact • liaising with Paris and New York Sales and Trading desks • assisting with the automation and upgrading of existing trading and position management systems
Main responsibilities
The role would have a dual sales and trading aspect:
• on the sales side, the person would be responsible of: Coverage of pure EF counterparts (Agent lenders, Custodians, Banks Prime-brokers...)
• Maintenence of existing relationships and build up of partnerships on the relevant country/region •Issue resolution at counterparty trader level (bigger issues to be escalated).
* Introduce new flow relationships, where possible, to expand scope of demand/supply.
• On the trading level, the person would cover a country/regional flow book, and should account for: Overnight flows to cover all internal trading desks, primebrokerage and hedge fund clients, but also to push out internal supply, and excess exclusive mandates.
• Short term dividend/all-in trading.
• Short term Corporate Action Arbitrage
• The sales-traders would be responsible of the profits and risks on his book. His product range will cover all equity finance-related products (Stockloan, Swaps, Call-Puts, Forwards, Single Stock Futures...).
• Management and maintenance of key flow relationships

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
• Minimum Graduate level education (any discipline)
Past experience
• some investment banking experience (front office or derivatives experience desirable but not essential)
Languages
• Fluent English, French an advantage but not essential
Technical skills
• Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills are required. |
