| Description |
A Portfolio Manager is required to assist with the management of the Equity Index Portfolio team of a Middle Eastern Bank. The successful individual will be responsible for the performance of the core indexed component of the client's equity portfolios.
The role:

Develop and implement new enhancement strategies.

Work with the Head of Desk to manage client equity portfolios, including controlling and monitoring tracking error and overall risk profile, keeping abreast of perspective index changes and their impact on the portfolios' risk profile.

Collaborate with the Head of Desk to pro-actively manage index changes in order to exploit opportunity to enhance performance.

Produce and present periodic equity portfolio management review, including comprehensive performance attribution (strategy-level enhancement, tracking error, sin-stock impact, fees) and forecast vs. actual tracking error analysis, deal pipeline, and marketing review.
The individual:

Must be FSA qualified or hold similar qualification eg IMC, IIMR, ACA etc.

Proven relevant market exposure - must have experience of Enhanced Index Funds and strategies.

Previous experience within Financial Markets essential.

Highly numerate and analytical, ability to review and implement new strategies and models to improve the management of the portfolio.
